“State-of-the-art voice quality testing and performance assessment.”

What is MultiDSLA?

MultiDSLA is Opale Systems’ flagship voice quality test system, widely recognized as the reference measurement platform for QoS and QoE validation in telecom networks.
It enables operators, equipment vendors, and test labs to assess voice service quality across fixed, mobile, and IP networks, from development to live operations.

By combining objective MOS scores (PESQ®, POLQA®) with advanced analytics, MultiDSLA not only measures end-user experience, but also helps identify the root causes of degradations.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Voice Quality Metrics
    ▫️ITU-T PESQ® and POLQA® MOS scoring.
▫️Speech & noise levels, echo, codec distortion, jitter buffer performance.
▫️Call setup analysis, VAD performance, DTMF integrity.
  • Flexible Node Architecture
▫️Connects via analog ports, SIP/RTP (VoIP), mobile handsets, Bluetooth, or OSS smartphone nodes.
▫️Supports 100+ distributed nodes controlled from a central controller.
  • Smart Automation
▫️Tasklist editor allows fine-grained automation (play, control, trigger events).
▫️Schedule or run tests on demand with graphical network representation.
  • Field & Lab Testing
▫️Supports drive testing with GPS synchronization.
▫️Post-process mapping data into Google Earth for coverage visualization.
  • Streaming Integrity & EVS Ready
▫️Detects audio break/distortion in Bluetooth/Wi-Fi voice streaming (e.g. Amazon Echo, car audio).
▫️Fully supports EVS codec validation for next-generation voice services.
  • Open API Integration
    ▫️REST API and Python modules.
▫️Easy integration into CI/CD pipelines or quality test automation platforms.

Benefits for the Client

  • End-to-end validation – measure from POTS to SIP, mobile-to-mobile, or VoIP-to-analog.
  • Accurate QoE analysis – objective MOS scores + root cause indicators.
  • High scalability – control over 100 nodes in parallel tests.
  • Operational efficiency – automate repetitive tests for regression or SLA monitoring.
  • Future-proof – ready for EVS and advanced voice streaming applications.

Why MultiDSLA is Different ?

  • Reference-grade accuracy – trusted by operators, vendors, and regulators worldwide.
  • Versatile node types – support for analog, SIP, mobile, Bluetooth, and app-based endpoints.
  • Granular root cause analysis – beyond MOS, detailed KPIs to troubleshoot degradations.
  • Field and lab coverage – one system usable for R&D, QA, and live monitoring.
  • Proven automation – integrates seamlessly into test frameworks via open APIs.

Typical Use Cases

  • Lab validation of new VoIP, VoLTE, and EVS codec implementations.
  • Field testing and drive campaigns for mobile voice quality.
  • Continuous monitoring of live networks for SLA compliance.
  • Troubleshooting echo, distortion, or dropped calls in fixed or mobile services.
  • Functional testing of residential gateways, softphones, and smart audio devices.
