What are Keysight Network Generators?

Keysight Network Generators are advanced platforms designed to emulate realistic network and application traffic at scale, enabling IT, telecom operators, and equipment vendors to validate the performance, reliability, and security of their infrastructures.

They are divided into two main categories:

• L1–L3 Traffic Generators (IxNetwork, AresONE, Novus family) → simulate Ethernet, IP, and routing protocols to test network infrastructure and devices.
• L4–L7 Application Generators (IxLoad, APS-100/400GE) → emulate realistic applications, SaaS, video, and security scenarios to validate services under real-world conditions.

Together, they provide a complete validation framework, from physical interfaces to application workloads.
